The Texas Rangers took game 3 of this 4-game series by a score of 10-2, pushing the current White Sox losing streak to 10 games. This is the first time in franchise history that the team has had more than one 10-game losing streak in a season (we can’t forget our league-leading 14 game streak from May 22 until Jun 6th). HISTORY!
Enough about early-season bad news, let’s get to the current bad news!
Like Tuesday night, Texas scored first, in the first, on this HR off of Chris Flexen by Corey Seager:

Andrew Vaughn led off the top of the 2nd with a line drive single to left. Eloy grounded out – like Eloy does now – moving Vaughn to second. Brooks Baldwin struck out (dropping him to 2-18, .111). Then Nicky Lopez did this:

In the top of the third, Luis Robert Jr. came up with one out and laced a line drive home run to left – his 12th of the season – putting the White Sox on top 2-1:

That would be it for the Pale Hose as far as scoring went for the night. Two-time all-star Nathan Eovaldi kept the inept Sox bats in check the rest of the evening, ending with a final line of 7 IP, 4 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 10K.
The Rangers bats, however, were far from done.
Corey Seager led off the bottom of the 5th with a double to right field and, 2 outs later, Adolis García doubled him in to tie the game at 2:

That would end Chris Flexen’s night. His final line: 4.2 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 2 BB, 1 K, HR. The Sox have lost their last 14 games in a row started by Flexen.
Sammy Peralta entered the game and Nathaniel Lowe promptly lined a single to left-center, giving Texas the lead at 3-2:

The Rangers would plate another run in the 6th inning off of a walk and 2 singles, making it 4-2, Rangers and effectively putting this game out of reach.
But, in the bottom of the 8th, the wheels really fell off.
Jared Shuster took the mound for Justin Anderson – who had a really nice night: 1.1 IP, 0 H, 1K – and Robbie Grossman took his second pitch deep to left field, making it 5-2, Texas:

Three singles in a row would load the bases for a Josh Smith sac fly and a 6-2 Rangers lead. A walk and a fielder’s choice would make it 7-2 with two outs and two on. Then Nathaniel Lowe put the exclamation mark on this losing streak:

The Sox went down meekly in the 9th with 3 groundouts. They’ll attempt to salvage the last game of this series Thursday afternoon at 1:35 CT.
