White Sox vs. Royals begins Friday night (7/19) at 7:10pm at Kauffman Stadium.
The All-Star Break is over, so you know what that means: time for more (bad) White Sox baseball! The Sox head to Kansas City for a 3-game set against the Royals.
The Royals currently sit in third place in the AL Central at 52-45, 7 games behind the division-leading Cleveland Guardians and 2 games back of the Boston Red Sox for the 3rd and final AL Wild Card spot.
Meanwhile… well, you know where the White Sox have been, I don’t have to remind you.
But.
The Royals are just 5-5 over their last 10 games, dropping their last 2 in Boston against the Red Sox. Can the Sox pull out a win with Flexen on the mound Friday night? We will see…

First Game at Kauffman Stadium: The Kansas City Royals played their first regular-season game ever against the Chicago White Sox on April 8, 1969, at the newly opened Municipal Stadium (later renamed Kauffman Stadium).
The Royals won that game 4-3.
Prediction
The Royals are having a nice season, currently sitting 7 games above .500, and have a 6-1 record against the White Sox so far in 2024.
I think if the Sox can win a game this sereies, it’ll be by sneaking a win with Flexen going in the opener, catching the Royals a bit asleep after the break.
