White Sox Trade Erick Fedde, Tommy Pham, and Michael Kopeck In 3-Team Deal

Chris Getz got his week started off with a bang, as he traded Erick Fedde, Tommy Pham, and Michael Kopech in a 3-team deal.
The St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago White Sox and Los Angeles Dodgers are in agreement on a three-way deal that will RHP Erick Fedde to St. Louis and IF Tommy Edman to Los Angeles, sources tell ESPN. White Sox will be getting a haul of prospects in return. @Ken_Rosenthal on it.

Fedde and Pham will be going to the St. Louis Cardinals and Michael Kopech will be going to the Mets in an 8-player exchange that looks like this:

- White Sox get: Miguel Vargas, Jaral Perez, and Alexander Albertus from the Dodgers
- Dodgers get: Kopech from the White Sox, Tommy Edman from the Cardinals
- Cardinals get: Fedde and Pham from the White Sox

Miguel Vargas
Miguel Vargas, the headliner for the Sox in this deal, is a utility guy and playing in MLB. In just over 80 appearances this year, he’s slashing .239/.313/.423. All of his appearances have been in left field, though he has had experience at first, second, and third base in previous seasons.
Alexander Albertus
Albertus is just 19 years old and is the 16th ranked Dodger prospect according to Baseball America, and 23rd on MLB Pipeline’s list. He’s currently a thirdbaseman, but the question remains if he has the bat to stick there. He’s currently hitting .228/.317/.329 at Low-A Rancho Cucamonga.
Jaral Perez
Perez is also just 19 years old and is also playing at Rancho Cucamonga. He ranks 17th on MLB Pipeline’s list and 18th on Baseball America’s. He’s currently slashing .264/.380/.420.
